I'm Izzy, a self-taught artist who creates from the heart.

My goal as an artist has always been to create in a way that feels authentic and brings me joy. People fascinate me, so sometimes I draw people. Other times, I’ll drive past a beautiful view on my way home from work—and later, try to capture it on paper. There is no better way for me to ground myself than by putting on some music and letting go for a few hours with a paintbrush in hand. To me, making art is simple, therapeutic, and fulfilling. It is a gift to be able to share such a special piece of my heart with others now too.

A few quick facts about me:

I was born and raised in North Idaho.

However, I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in psychology in Denver, Colorado. Because of where I have been blessed enough to live (and travel to), I am constantly surrounded by tons of gorgeous scenery that inspires a lot of my nature-based work.

I have been drawing pretty much since I could hold a pencil.

I've always had a habit of taking my sketchbook everywhere I go. That said, it really has not been until the past year or so that I have begun seriously pursuing a career in art. My main goal is to keep creating and sharing art as a regular part of my life—whether that means going full-time or just keeping it as a lifelong passion.

My preferred media constantly changes.

I tend to mix things up a lot, but I am currently drawn to acrylic painting. I love the opportunities it allows for creating vibrant and bold, yet dynamic compositions. I also work with watercolors, pen and ink, oil pastels, and even acrylic markers—sometimes even mixing them all together to keep things interesting.

If I am not making art, you'll probably find me outside or with friends and family.

These days, my life is full of studying, hiking, skiing, writing, thrifting, and spending time with my friends and family.
